“TheraCare (especially Tonya) has changed my 3 year old son's life completely! A prior speech therapist from a different company wanted nothing to do with my son once she diagnosed him as autistic and we felt hopeless and lost. I tried Tonya on a whim because of her good reviews, and she embraced him immediately. Not only did Erin and Tonya work super closely with my insurance company to ensure the best coverage possible, but she was so hands-on and sweet to him, and in less than a year he has done a complete 180! I truly didn't know it was possible in such a short amount of time. He came in barely talking, shy, making no eye contact, zero back and forth conversational abilities, or even basic yes or no answering, very limited vocabulary, and extremely picky eating habits. After only 2 sessions I started seeing a significant difference. Fast forward 9 months, and he is SO talkative, engages in dialogue, and best of all, he is super excited to see Tonya and the amazing TheraCare staff each week! Tonya's food therapy is also part of each session, and has really shown positive results and opened my son up to trying new foods and developing overall better eating habits. She knows what she is doing, gives very in-depth parent training/education, and I feel so safe and supported when I am there. All of the other parents and kids I encounter in the waiting rooms each week feel the same, and it is just a very positive, warm environment.
